When Tinubu demands high ethical standards.
For those who watched Tinubu demand high ethical standards of newly appointed Resident Electoral Commissioners, isn't this enough ground to ensure that election petitions are disposed of before swearing in?
Late President Umaru Musa Yar' Adua, God rest his Soul, accepted that the elections that brought him to office were flawed.
To expect that of Tinubu is to ease the pressure on the courts to which shameless and lying INEC asked Nigerians to seek redress.
To occupy the highest office in Nigeria is no joke and it should be for the deserving.
One of the strong points in favour of Tinubu is that he fought on the side of National Democratic Coalition against Abacha but even today, he is no more in the good books of NADECO.
A democrat is what Tinubu is not. A man who does not believe in opposition, free speech, peaceful elections and integrity cannot be rightly described as a Democrat.
In Lagos State, Tinubu does not believe in primary election but selection by the principal: him.
Unless, we want to reduce governance to a joke, a man whose election is being questioned and his credentials mired in allegations of forgery, should not and cannot in good conscience be talking of ethical standards.
The only ethical standard he can subscribe to is being unethical.
Hummmmmm! Ethical standards set by who??
