John F Kennedy on my mind

As I received News of a Coup in Gabon, 35th US President J

ohn Fitzgerald Kennedy's words rang in

my mind: when peaceful revolution becomes impossible, violent change becomes inevitable.

I love Economic History but I prefer History of Economic thought. I love all History.

Nations are not where they are by chance. Each gets what he gives.

Peaceful nations are not peaceful by chance and unstable countries are not unstable by chance.

Each reaps what he sows.

What we are reaping today is the result of our wrong choices of the past.

By choice born of desire shall we correct all our ills.

No outsider can and will do it for us.

Our corruption today is the result of our acquiescence in the past.

Who would have thought that #End Sars was possible? It did happen and we all saw the effect.

Whenever we are ready, our wrongs can be corrected. For so long as we are willing to live with our wrongs, they will continue to grow in leaps and bounds.

Politicians all over the world are the same. The difference is in what their followers allow.

Democracy is not a magic wand, it is hard work with all hands on deck such that the will of the people always prevails.

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible make violent revolution inevitable so premised John F Kennedy of blessed memory.

  2. Oga mi, it was late M.K.O Abiola who when told that we are in a learning process responded that we can only keep quiet if we are learning the right things, but react if we are only learning the wrong ways. As someone advised, let African leaders use their tongue to count their teeth and make amends quickly in order to preserve our democracy.
