Insecurity in Lagos

 

That rogue military men are spreading terror in Lagos State is a big cause for concern.

Criminals abound everywhere because

man is inherently evil.

The difference is in the will to combat crime.

Nigerian society as it stands now is such that there is a disconnect between the Government and the people.

The instruments of state are all alien and unconnected with the people.

This is a serious cause for concern. The good news is that unless a grain of corn dies, it fails to germinate.

Most likely we are getting to a point when society has to draw a line between good and bad.

At this point, we are no longer in doubt about the consequences of bad behaviour.

At that point, we have gone beyond, not knowing the consequence of tolerating evil or allowing it to fetter.

Buildings collapse not from earthquake but from the activities of those who would rather profit from cutting corners in spite of the threat to human lives.

May our consciousness come now rather than later, through Christ Our Lord.
