Why not?
The Yorubas have a saying, that it is the horse running in front that the ones behind take their cue from.
I saw a News report on the aides of a Student Union leader and my question
is, why not?For long, this subject has been agitating my mind. SUVs for Executives from top to bottom!
From the Presidency to Local Government level. This is government and public funds.
Often, the question arises as to who is more corrupt, between the public sector and the private sector?
Look no further! It is a drawn game, they feed each other. It is the same system and subversion is the aim.
Private sector leaders try hard to exceed the excesses of the public office holders.
Each time, you see a siren blowing convoy, do not limit your guess to the office of the governor or President, it may be a private sector leader heading to a function. It is that bad!
It may even be a foreigner, rushing to catch a flight.
This underscores why, we must hold our leaders down to the highest standards of accountability so that it cascades down and permeates every strata of society.
This may sound calous but I feel bad that JAMB did not prosecute, Mmesoma.
This would have led to a fusillade of prosection of public office holders who have such skeletons in their cupboard.
Well, life goes on.
