Obi, the lone ranger!

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, the Lord God delivers him from them all, so says the Bible.

Today, seeing what is going

on, I wonder if Peter Obi is not fighting alone?

So many discordant tunes are ringing around him but it makes me think of the Yoruba adage that says that, ' it is the oily hand that people lick with you and not the bloody hand'.

When the elections were concluded, many flocked to Obi. Today, how many people are with him?

Peter Obi is a wealthy man. He perhaps is funding his challenge of the results. Perhaps too, the obedient movement are funding the challenge.

Whichever, way, something is amiss and can get worse.

What is amiss is the absence of enthusiasm around  the court case and should Obi win, will he be expected to attend to those who stood with him, whether they be men and women of integrity or not?

Remember, the first set of appointments made by PMB, he said, the recipients were those who suffered with him.

Then it did not sit with me. Now it still doesn't but you and I are the wiser.

At the end of the day, whoever gets appointed will be working on behalf of Obi for the Nigerian people.

This explains why, appointments should go beyond the realm of sentiments.

But what happens to his staunch supporters, especially those who would have put their money into the struggle?

Well as Nigerian citizens, they should be rewarded with good governance from which the whole country would benefit.

Like, I tell those who care to listen, whoever is made President, good or bad would steer the ship of the state for and on behalf of us all.

The effect of good or bad governance would know no tribe or tongue. We are all in.

Eternal vigilance is the price of Liberty. We are in it together. The way we lay our bed, is the way, we shall lie on it.

  1. I trust that Mr Obi will not make mistake in selecting those to work with him, but first thing first, which is to get back his mandate and every other things will fall in place.
