Nigeria's emerging power block

Since eternity, we have been told that a good name is better than riches but today, what we are seeing in Nigeria is different.
Today, Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu is President in spite of his not so worthy reputation
Senator Kashim Shettima is Vice President in spite of his strong links with terrorism in Nigeria.
Senator Godswill Akpabio is Senate President with strong cases of corruption hovering over his head.
Not too long was the story of James Ibori in Aso Rock as a power broker.
How low can Nigeria go?
What exactly are we teaching our children, that a good name is not better than riches?
Well, the case of Ashiwaju is in court.
Ditto , his Vice.
As for Akpabio, if politics does not ovrertake his corruption cases, Nigeria and a good heritage may have the last laugh.
For now let us watch the new Nigeria, where the likes of Dangote and their anti competition practices would be laughing to the bank .

  1. This is very deep sir.

Yoruba will sometimes say "Oro p'esije" in Piggin "water pass Garri".

From 1999, I don't think that we have gotten it right and this might not change soon.

The holy book is right; "narrow is the gate", we can not love God and the World at the same time.

May the Almighty God heal our land. Amen.

  3. My Oga, the best way to judge the caliber of people in authority in Nigeria is the quality of life of the masses. As scripture says " when the righteous rule the people rejoice" are the masses rejoicing "
