The Subsidy Merry Go Round!

Dangote promised N1000 per bag cement and we all rejoiced. It never happened!

Government is viewing seriously,

the removal of subsidy and why not?

Their refinery, the Dangote refinery is about to come on stream.

Dangote this, Dangote that: am I jealous? Not at all.

It came to light that the Dangote Refinery is only, Dangote's in name, but is actually owned by politicians across party lines.

Every man is entitled to his calling. Dangote is a trader. His business practices are right, where there are no anti competition laws.

Truly, how he runs his business is his, but he gets away with it because of the greed of our leaders.

What he does is simple. He goes into a market armed with loads of money to invest. He takes a lion share of the market, crashes prices, leaving competition bankrupt and then takes over as a monopolist who dictates price.

Everywhere, that is what he does. The same thing he wants to do with the help of his faceless business partners in the oil sector.

Many are the modular refineries in existence in Nigeria but they are under shackle in waiting for the Dangote refinery to come on stream and government will claim level playing field and leave competition at the mercy of the favoured Dangote refinery.

The seeds of revolution are gradually being sown in Nigeria. Let the sowing continue.

There is sowing time and there is harvest time but the sowers may not be the reapers.

However, the sowers should know that in times of revolution, it is difficult to separate the sower from his descendants.

Usually, then, to separate the son from the sin of the father is difficult.

There is goodwill and illwill. They are two sides of the coin of reaping and sowing. Is it not said that sowing the wind results in harvesting whirlwind?
