Obi should not take Obasanjo's endorsement for granted

Obj left office as a Military leader in 1979.

When the people rose against SAP in the IBB days, he joined them.

He spoke to Abacha and Abacha

charged him for Treason.

He became civilian President, in 1999.

He paid our foreign debt, privatized many public utilities and gave us mobile telephony.

He supported an ailing Yar A'dua to succeed him.

He supported GEJ to succeed Yar A'dua.

When GEJ turned his back on Obj, Obj turned his pen against him.

In the case of GEJ, it is interesting to note that when GEJ turned a deaf ear to Obj, he moved closer to Ijaw leader, Edwin Clark.

When GEJ lost to PMB, Edwin Clark was among those who found fault with GEJ.

Today, Clark has joined Obj in endorsing Obi. Obi, should he win, should know how to manage both men, with GEJ in mind.

Obj supported PMB and when PMB went off track, Obj wrote against him.

Peter Obi, should he win, should not take Obj's endorsement for granted.

Rightly or wrongly, Obj says he is first a Nigerian before a Yoruba.

Read between the lines.
