Obasanjo has spoken

Obj is a man with a mission. Remember he contested for the post of UN Secretary General when it was zoned to Africa.

Just like he stated in his January 1, 2023

letter to Nigerians, no man is a saint but Obj stands heads and shoulders above any Nigerian leader dead or living.

Like my senior Murtala Sule would point out, Obj writes. Other Nigerian leaders should write. Obj writes.

At everytime in our political life, he writes to intervene when necessary.

Now, he has written and has endorsed a Presidential candidate. That is vintage Obj. Like him or hate him, he does not sit on the fence.

In spite of his age and position, he has made his choice in a civilized manner.

Those who do not support his choice have been speaking out against him.

He has made his choice. It is a democracy, people are free to agree or disagree.

For effort he deserves praises.

In his time he made his mark. I am not about to forget that in my last year in secondary school, during Obj's stint as Military Head of State, he fixed tuition fee in all public secondary schools at N10.

As Civilian President, he introduced Mobile phones into the country and Contributory Pension scheme.

In respect of the Pension scheme, many a Pensioner are now benefiting in comfort and not in tears. The contributions themselves are now a veritable plank on which many a planner are now eyeing for its humongous size.

Like all Nigerian leaders, Obj is a man of means and does not fail to look out for himself. In this he may be looking out for himself but why not?

  2. Thank you Oga and brother. They say he is of no political value, but they had all visited him at one time or the other. Could it be a case of a recalcitrant child who is denied a piece of meat saying that after all the meat is worthless?.
