lacks it is also known.
What is a mystery is why after 6 decades of Independence, we are yet to come to grips with the glaring lack?
Word on the street is that Generator sellers do not want the problem solved. Atiku may not know it, but word on the street is that he is a major importer of one of the better known brands.
I always want to deal with facts. I do not know if Atiku is guilty as charged but definitely Generator sellers are certainly not far from the cause of the impotence of Nigeria's power supply.
A people get the leadership they deserve. It is in our power to demand of our leaders a solution to public power supply epilepsy.
It is gratifying to know that Peter Obi had to visit Egypt to find a solution to the problem.
Why he left it late, I do not know but it is still gratifying.
I recall BAT's twists and turns with a dying Enron. It was in the International Press that Enron was dying but BAT still continued dealing with them. No wonder nothing came of the effort.
It is our fault that our leaders do not act responsibly. To whom much is given, much should be expected. If our mandate means anything to us, then our leaders must justify our confidence.
What happens in Nigeria is that leadership is often stolen. So what we see is the bravado of the thief not a legitimate holder of public trust.
We have a choice. Police our leaders or ignore them and let them abuse our trust.
