God loves Nigeria

At a time when patriots were thinking of a third force to free Nigeria from

misrule, Peter Obi happened.

The Peter Obi phenomenon appears divine. He was in PDP and that would have been a huge obstacle.

Of his own he left and his fame is growing by the day. But what is most interesting is the nature of the criticisms he is receiving, that are turning to platitudes.

He is accused of betraying Atiku. Atiku is a bad sale. Atiku ignored the PDP constitution. To betray such a fellow is a plus. Atiku ought to support Igbo Presidency.

Next Peter Obi is accused of stinginess. To be stingy in times of suffering is not a minus. In times of plenty one has no excuse for stinginess. Can you imagine Peter Obi being accused of serving cheap champagne in Government house?

I bet some indebted states would be serving the highest grade of champagne in their Government house.

This reminds me of the story of Nelson Rockefeller and his son. Rockefeller was an American Millionaire.

He once went to an hotel and like Obi asked for the cheapest room. The shocked attendant told him that his son usually asked for the most expensive room, to which the millionaire responded that his son's father was a millionaire but his own father is not a millionaire.

Obi knows that as a third world country, what Nigeria needs is investment not ostentation.

He is right to be a spendthrift instead of being extravagant. Nigerians are clamouring for him not because of immediate gains but future good Governance for which he has become popular.

At a time when power is a problem, he is thinking ahead. He was criticized for not going for a campaign rally but it turned out, he went to Egypt to learn about their power solution.

Perhaps more criticisms would reveal more of Peter Obi's strength. Even if Peter Obi is discouraged from.running God would still deliver Nigeria for Indeed we need deliverance.
