The Lagos Okada ban
I hope it is not what I am thinking. The
timing of the ban appears suspicious.Do not get me wrong. As far as I know a lot of conspiracy theories abound in respect of Okadas.
It is just the timing that I am worried about.
PMB and BAT somehow forgot that Nigeria stands on a Tripod.
BAT and PMB seemingly had an agreement to rotate power between each other. There either was no thought for the Igbos or they felt that they do not matter.
Somehow, the apathy of the Igbos towards the ruling APC could have given rise to such a notion but to me it was grossly a miscalculation.
It is an open secret that the northern power brokers have no intention of handing power over to BAT.
If I were BAT, I would not play into their hands. Going headlong is potentially perilous.
He should play the statesman by midwifing power to the South East. That way he shores up his reputation and puts himself in a position of respect by the North.
The North has no intention of handing power elsewhere but the North. If Afenifere can stab BAT in the back by mouthing Igbo Presidency, BAT should do same to the North.
The game plan of the North is divide and rule.
PYO vs BAT. Other battle points abound in the South. The intended result is to make the Southerners scamper for VP.
Nigeria is hanging on a precipice. Retaining power in the North could tip it.
The North does not mind.
Exactly!!!
