Casting the first stone

One thing is clear. We are all collectively dissatisfied with the state of

things in our country.

Pointing out the ills is no problem. Pointing at the evil doers is also not a challenge.

It becomes challenging when it zeroes in on us. I have heard of motivational speakers and role models who find it out of place to pay Estate Dues.

In traffic do we find those who are adept at pointing out the ills and causes of our challenges, contributing to the logjam we find on our roads?

It is a well worn slogan to say that the change we seek begins from us.

Personally, while I feel the American slogan that talk is cheap, I however believe that those who find themselves in leadership positions have a giant role to play in shaping our society.

In the build up to the 2023 Elections, what are the issues on the front burner?

First and foremost is the failure of PMB. Next is the talk of who his successor should be?

There are no talks of the way out of our quagmire. In the end, someone gets elected and the circle of vicious blames begins again.

The nation rambles on and on. Individually, we all try to locate a leaking pipe to suck while waiting for the Mercy of God to shape our destiny and fix our country.

It is possible. But how do others fix their problems? What is our share of the problems?

How committed are we to finding solutions to our problems?

Should we or should we not continue to allow the worst of us to rule the rest of us?

It is often said that in the country of the Blind, the one eyed man is king. This presupposes that the one eyed man is way ahead of the Blind and is likely to be helpful.

When are going to resolve to join in the search for the one eyed man in our country?

There is no doubt that we have Mandelas in our midst. The problem is to find them. In seeking them out, who will cast the first stone?

  1. Truly speaking the leadership of Nigeria is the problem of Nigeria. Not the common man on the street. But the continous failure of leadership, is when the common man gets the opportunity and decides to continue with the same attitude and "Obi" is a "Man" syndrome.

  2. Trutalk My Bros. The bottom line is that we neither love ourselves nor our country. Take the unbundling of NEPA by GEJ to people with neither capability nor morality to perform. Their primary aim was to defraud the populace. When Sai Baba came with high hope, we are all living witness of what is happening. I am concluding therefore that those who fight to govern us have no allegiance to either the citizens or the country. They are only for themselves.

  3. This topic is very important to our collective success as a nation.
How do we get leadership right when we have party politics and the practice of winners take all.
Things would have been much better if this administration has improved on the past results. But alas the reverse is the case.
Who do we expect (on leadership) to turn things around for the collective benefits of all?. 2022 is the determinant/pivot year for 2023-2027.

May the Almighty God help our helplessness. Amen.
