SIM replacement at a premium in Nigeria

It will be interesting to know the day a Nigerian Government will be courteous

to it's people. In my days as a public school teacher, we partook in organizing national Elections and from our various places of abode, we were expected to report early for duty.

To make this possible we had to be kept at public schools overnight. No bed, no toiletries.

That is just an example of how Government treats her citizens. Today for reasons best known to the Government, to welcome back SIM pack has become a tug of war.

If Government has reason to suspend the process, they should say so. It is not a crime for one to lose his property. Time there was when even armed robbers would volunteer to give you your SIM and make away with your phone but not any more.

Between the telecommunication companies and National Identity Management Commission, no one knows who is pulling pranks on the people.

The Government should for once try to act responsibly. I know that a government that gets to power on the back of bandits and thugs would need a special effort to please the harmless masses but there just isn't any harm in trying.
