Igbo Presidency or nothing
The People's Democratic Party, Obaseki and All Progressives Congress, think
Igbo Presidency is a joke.I have nothing but pity for them. It is no joke but their reasons for thinking it is a joke is what I find laughable.
Many people believe there will be no Elections in 2023 and for good reasons too. To me, it were better not to have Elections at all than not to have an Igbo President.
I am not God and cannot play God, so let God's will prevail.
However, the reasons, stated and unstated why it should not be is what I find hilarious. Among the unstated reasons is that the Igbos are too money conscious and they may end up selling the country and I wonder how many of their states, they have sold?
Among the stated reasons is the one from Atiku's People's Democratic Party. Atiku, in his best interest should kiss his Presidential ambition goodbye. He like BAT understand politics but both have the wrong baggage: corruption.
People's Democratic Party, from where Atiku wants to emerge have come up with a new theory. Remember, for the All Progressives Congress to actualize the deal between ACN and CPC on power rotation, had to argue that Obj was an Igbo man but in 1999 it was agreed that only Yorubas should contest the 1999 Presidential Elections. Those who claim Obj was an Igbo man also thought Olu Falae was an Igbo man too. People's Democratic Party in their fraudulent claim are saying that there is a different Nigeria for their Party and out of 16 years of their rule, the South had been President for more years than the North.
How selfish and ignorant of their leaders. Of course with all the insecurity and distrust in the land, the best they can come up with is their best route back to power. Not stability. Not security. Not equity. No, it is about presenting a Northern candidate who has a better chance of winning.
Their best chance of remaining relevant is to argue with facts not fairy tales. They should go for a credible Igbo candidate and defend their choice in the name of fair play.
Presenting Atiku is a sure recipe for a disastrous outing.
Atiku's desperation is not a plus but a minus. We are all witnesses to PMB'S desperation and where it has led us.
I am all for Igbo Presidency not because I am Igbo but because it is the proper thing to do. QED.
To do otherwise is to hide under age old prejudices and rake up wounds of the civil war in which, there was a declaration of no Victor and no vanquished.
If there is no vanquished, why deny the Igbos their turn to present a President?
