The sleeping culture of protests in Nigeria

It is foolhardy to think Nigerians are incapable of protesting. Like the Holy book says, we should pray that when the wave of protests come, we are not caught unawares.
The mantra should be 'be prepared' for indeed nobody knows the hour but

Omoyele Sowore
certainly, the clouds are gathering.
The best way to stave it off is for our leaders to put their best foot forward. What is happening in Edo State is a stuff of cheap comedy skit from any of Nigeria's comedians.
How do you explain to the man on the street that Obaseki defeated Ize- Iyamu on the platform of APC and today, Obaseki and Ize - Iyamu are swapping parties.
It really smacks of unseriousness which ever way you look at it.
How does one explain the fusillade of bullets fired at the convoy of Borno State governor and his allegation that the attack was carried out by the Nigerian security forces and not Boko Haram. Are we for real?
Better still that the traditional rulers from PMB's state are taking refuge in Abuja and the latest intelligence from the US that Al Qaeda are regrouping in NorthWest Nigeria.
The storms are really gathering and our Nero appears to be more in love with his Flute.
That no one can stop an idea whose time has come is most certainly a truism. Our present day politicians should beware the verdict of history.
What they are doing today is a betrayal of public trust. They should seek out the families of those who betrayed the cause of Biafra and find out how things are with them?
Those who have ears to hear should listen. Raising the penalty for hate speech is not the issue but avoiding deceitful deeds that provoke hatred as hatred is a response and not a request.
