CAMA 2020. and suspension of reason

Registrar General CAC: Bello Mahmud

Nigeria is a multi religious country. The problems of Nigeria have no religion.

Nigeria is rich both in resources and poor people. This aberration is due to the collaboration of Nigerians and foreigners of different religious representations in Nigeria.

With respect to the amendments in Companies a d Allied Matters Act 2020, I

recommend that the opponents of the amendments think unlike Ray Ekpu"s one handed Economist and think for once that Nigeria is a multi religious society.

My people have a saying that if you treat a child the way you treat his peer, then you can not be accused of bias.

I am a Christian. If you treat the church, the way you treat the mosque or the Masquerade, then I am game if not you are open to attack.

I recall an incident in the 80s when it was suggested that the Nigerian Customs Service was to be probed, the customs people wondered why they were being singled out.

As a Christian, I suggest the Church should not dissipate energy on opposing the amendments but work on them  for the betterment of the Church.

While doing that, they should ensure that compliance is not one sided. If indeed, there were ulterior motives they would quickly fizzle out.

Back to the beginning, the Church should go a step further and find out to what extent they have wittingly or unwittingly contributed to the underdevelopment of the country whether in concert with practitioners of other religions or alone.

This is imperative because those who run the country do not do it alone. Those who loot the country do not do it alone.

In the game of corruption there is no religion. The common denominator is self.

  1. I suggest that if their is amendment to be made, it should start from the religion of our president, after all, to be a ruler, ( sorry) I mean a good leader, you must lead by example.
