Sheikh Gumi finds his voice again

Power, Lord Acton, says, corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. All power belongs to God.

Men and women who purport to work for

God are revered by men and women. This reverence translates to power.

Sheikh Gumi is an Islamic cleric who was credited with describing bandits as businessmen.

Any wonder he has been fingered as a go between for bandits?

Men like that deserve to face the law. For sometime now, he has not been in the news. It was one time British Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher, who said that publicity is like oxygen to terrorists.

I guess Gumi, is missing the limelight and in order to get needed publicity to give the facade of relevance, he has proposed peaceful protest against Tinubu to drive home the point that there is hardship.

I note the word 'peaceful' and I am surprised that a man who sees terrorists as businessmen is calling for a peaceful protest.

Honestly, this must serve as an advertisement for rotational Presidency because under Buhari, a fellow northerner, he was more dating.

I guess, he is not too sure of Tinubu, hence the call for a peaceful protest. I won't be surprised if he has had a taste of a post - Buhari security regiment.
