I will not rush to canonize, Governor Otti

Governor Alex Otti was an Executive Director in one of the biggest banks in Nigeria.

He is of the Labour Party, the same

Party that produced Peter Obi.

His State, Abia State is priding itself in the ability to give power 24/7. Hmmm.

For one, the project is a private Sector initiative and for another, it was long conceived before the coming of Alex Otti.

The Governor may be doing a few things right, but it will be wrong to canonize him before he achieves anything of substance.

Furthermore, canonizing him now may derail him and make him lax.

The truth of the matter is that the darkness surrounding Nigerian leadership is so thick that any speck of light is worth celebrating but we can help our leaders by pointing at International best practices lest our best return as non starters on the International stage.

Remember the Mo leadership awards and what became of it.

Our people are in dire need of good leadership, the least we can do is to be vigilant as it is said that eternal vigilance is the price of liberty.

Governor Otti may be making the right moves, he should not rest his Oars, for the sake of Nigeria, Abia and the Labour Party.
