How Tinubu can fight corruption
The Holy book says, light and darkness do not go hand in hand.
The present hardship in Nigeria cannot be divorced from the cloak and dagger manner by which, Tinubu clinched the Presidency.
Remember he had admonished his followers to grab power and run with it.
By far, the most transparent President, Nigeria has had is President Umaru Musa Yar' adua.
He not only declared his Assets publicly but was gracious enough to admit that the elections that brought him to power was flawed.
No President of Nigeria has come close to those.
Tinubu wants to fight corruption and he has not removed the veil covering the how of his becoming President.
How much did it set him back in money terms?
Who got what and in which currency?
The primary election that brought Buhari to power was fought with dollars.
Tinubu does not hide the fact that he helped Buhari into office.
If he helped Buhari with dollars, with what did he help himself?
It is logical to find out how he intends to recoup his expenses.
Could the present predicament of Naira not be traceable to the election expenses?
The only way to fight corruption is by being transparent. Any other way is mere platitudes and like Americans say, 'talk is cheap'.
Only Truth and transparency can set us free

DeleteWhen fela sang his song, we hardly understood the lyrics. He said "the thing wey hin dey worry me, how dis problems come get biggi head" . Anyone who cannot come to equity with clean hands can never fight corruption.
