Femi Falana stands up to be counted
I asked if there were men in Nigeria and thank God, one has shown up.
There is a law in Nigeria in respect of
the Prices of goods, petroleum products inclusive.Reminiscent of the military era, human rights lawyer, Femi Falana has approached a Federal High court seeking for an order compelling the Federal government to fix the prices of goods petroleum products inclusive.
Since the government did not respond, the courts had no choice than to grant Femi Falana's request.
The law is the law. If we must count ourselves as civilized , we must respect the law or change it.
Kudos to Femi Falana. It takes a man to do a man's job. The act may not amount to anything but then it is our Law.
Kudos to the judge. In the days of military rule, even the military feared judges but today, the likes of the judge, Ambrose Lewis - Allogoa are as scarce as a virgin in a maternity ward.
Hmmm...
