Special Forces to rid forests of bandits

As the Federal Government considers the idea of special forces to rid forests of bandits, let me play a mind reader.

My mind tells me, it is a plan from the

pit of hell. Some may say, why waste time on a mere thought?

Well, there is something called flying a kite.

I recall that in the Babangida days, just before Tony Momoh was made Information Minister, he let the world know that, Tony was a nickname. He may be right, one of my seniors in secondary school once challenged us to guess his nickname which to him was the most popular in the world. We guessed and guessed and no one got it right.

In the end, he told us, it was Tony to sounds of aw and huh.

Back to Tony Momoh. Those were the days of our being smuggled into Organization of Islamic Countries. Perhaps the point had to be made that our potential Information Minister is not a Christian but my senior Anthony Okei, a brother to activist Joe - Okei Odumakin, is indeed a Christian. Don't ask me how Tony Momoh, got his Tony.

Eventually, Tony Momoh got the job. The kite was successfully, flown.

This idea of special forces is a ruse to settle boys. It is the way of politicians, ever greedy for gain.

I won't be surprised if Sunday Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu with MC Oluomo find themselves in this special force.

With politicians, you never can tell. Our soldiers are tired of being made scapegoats in these political chess games masquerading as terrorism.

Should this idea, come to life, it will further alienate the soldiers because, the new body will have what the soldiers did not have and daily imaginary victories w ould be won, just like Lai Muhammed's Victory over Boko Haram.
