So, where are we?

Elections have come and gone. Cases in court and judgement being awaited. Prices spiralling.

What is next?

Can two move without first agreeing?

Not far away from our independence

Anniversary.

What do we want?

Good governance. Is it too much to ask for?

How do we get it?

Is it through Democracy or military rule?

Politicians talk and do little. The soldiers don't talk but act. The riddle is in the Acts.

How do they arrive at their decisions?

You know they rule by force so only the brave and their subjects go close enough and they colour or influence what they do.

The helpless count their blessings and the hopeful call for Democracy.

With Democracy stories fly around. The citizens heave a sigh.

The politicians pretend to listen but use force to win elections and behave worse than the military.

The difference is they pretend to listen. Make promises they cannot keep, design worthless programs meant to give them the opportunity to steal and divert funds.

The opposition cry out. Call the Military to take over and there we go again.

How best can we make progress?

We tried Parliamentary System. We threw it away claiming it was dividing us.

We introduced Presidential System and now we are claiming it is unworkable.

What do we want?

A system or a process?

How do we get what we want?

The ball is in our court. We have to decide how to play it.
