Cry not for our lecturer

I hear our Universities are becoming empty of lecturers. I have no sympathy for the lecturers. For all I care, they should please themselves.

Today, ou

r lecturers are best known for very long strikes everytime.

How did we come to this?

The lecturers allowed themselves to be used by men of power who in the end weakened them and tossed them in the rubbish dump.

What would you normally expect from a University? Solutions.

However, for a long time, what we get is discordant tunes. Our Universities ought to be centres of excellence in all fields of human endeavour but no, what we get today are charlatans.

Who regards the Universities with respect? The private Universities are no better.

They think they are insulated because they charge commercial rates and get well paid.

They are mistaken. They will be treated worse than the public universities except they learn to respond to the challenges of today: impunity and bad governance.

Can they respond? There is nothing in them to suggest it.

Soonest come their doom except they smell the coffee.
