When INEC said go to court, what was their aim?
As kids, when disputes arise, we seek arbitration.
The truth is that we often choose who
to report to based on our fears and their preferences.As a school teacher, I noticed that students under my care choose cases to bring to me based on their knowledge of my views.
In the case of INEC that is supposed to be Independent, they refused to listen to complaints but instead chose to ask the courts to validate their work.
The truth is that what Lord Montesqui who propunded the theory of separation of powers had in mind is difficult to attain.
We all saw how Buhari hounded Justice Onnoghen out of office.
We saw how Obj changed senate Presidents like he was changing shoes.
The judiciary is at the mercy of the Executive.
In the US, judges are known by their views and their parties and the President appoints them based on vacancies.
To get to what we desire, I guess Arthur Nzeribe's theory or hypothesis ought to be followed.

Do not be deceived. Election is no picnic.
