Here we go again!

Following from the travesty of a judgement of the Presidential Election Petition tribunal, a rash of over turns

are going on and I wonder if we are not about to return to the past?

Recall that it was the complaints on the pattern of the election results of the infamous 1983 Elections that gave rise to the Buhari coup of the same year.

The sad reality is that with a coup comes jubilation but the truth is that even the coups are no better.

The Yorubas say, it is the front running horse that the ones at the rear take their cue from.

I wonder what kind of mind our politicians have? If only Tinubu can recall admonitions he received in school.

I am so proud of all my schools and I am prouder of the fact that I know my classmates and my classmates know me.

They can proudly recall my past and our collective past.

For sure, Tinubu did go to school. It is sad that his classmates cannot tell us of his past.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I do not expect anything good to come from Tinubu's tactics.

It is sad that whereas we all know the narrow road that leads to success only a few manage to take it.

This explains why success is attached to only a few.

With the wasted opportunities before our present day, politicians the search for our heroes continue.

Obi is one and he is paying the price. The more he pays, the more he stands out.

In nearby Liberia, there is a success story worthy of emulation because we too have footballers.

George Weah remains the only African footballer to win the Ballon d'or.

He never went to the World Cup. As a player, he sponsored his country to tournaments.

In the end he joined politics. He ran for President and lost. He ran again and today, he is his country's President.

Where are our own sportsmen?
