Now, that there is a coup in Niger.




 

 Tinubu is chairman of Ecowas and he is threatening the coupists. I am watching with bated breath lest they ask Nigerians if we are happy with our

 Democracy?

Coming to equity entails clean hands. How clean are our hands?

Have our politicians been a good advertisement for Democracy?

The world is a global village by virtue of our size, certain positions of leadership are effortlessly ours.

It behoves us to bear this in mind in all our dealings. When South Africa tried to study our Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) System, I was happy.

Our Elections 2023 cannot be a model for any decent society. Our management of our economy is inhuman.

We produce crude and import refined product in the 21st century and want to preach about the benefits of Democracy.

We have a University of Petroleum and yet we import refined fuel at cut throat prices. 

Every one knows that we have the capacity and capability to refine crude and yet for reasons that defy reasoning we choose to play the ostrich and yet preach Democracy.

Ours is a miserable Democracy that cares less about welfare of citizens and more for selfish aggrandizement.

Putting our house in order will preach more about Democracy than insincere platitudes.
