Emefiele stewing in his own juice!

The Yorubas have a saying that whoever does what no other person has done will see what no other person has seen.
Godwin Emefiele, suspended CBN Governor was CEO of Jim Ovia's Zenith Bank.
His predecessor in office, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi was a rebel of sort, who took on President GEJ.
Perhaps as an anti dote, a malleable Godwin Emefiele was picked to replace him.
True to type at his confirmation hearing at the Senate, he left no one in doubt that he was not going to be rebellious but a yes man.
However, as events have proved, he went overboard.
During the EndSARS, he was quick to spot the financiers of the protest but it took Kenya to spot the financiers of Boko Haram.
Late Clement Isong became Governor of Cross River State after serving as CBN Governor. Ditto Professor Chukwuma Soludo, the present Governor of Anambra State who made his name as Governor of CBN.
Godwin Emefiele, the typical yes man had his name associated with the Presidential form of APC. Haba!
That was going too far and it is the genesis of his present debacle.
The currency swap was supposed to be targetted at the Jagaban.
Emefiele, not being his own man must have allowed himself to be used against the wrong person.
As is typical in Nigeria, beyond a slap on the wrist and a few horse trading, I doubt if he would ever have his day in court.
All in all, he would have learnt a big lesson about fishing in troubled waters of politics.

  1. You have captured it well sir. A Professional should have acted and be seen by all as one.

To serve as a deterrent, let him face the "music". After all, they are all "the same"
