PMB as a tragedy!

How I feel at times! PMB in his Ramadan message describes 2023 Elections as his proudest achievement. Can you beat that? How low can we sink as a nation?

People are free to set benchmarks for themselves. Many are those who see the near 8 years of PMB in the saddle as

locust years. If he sees the much vilified  2023 Elections as an achievement, so be it.

My worry is that just like in the case of the Elections where he interfered by showing the world who he voted for, in this case, how does the judiciary react to this exaggeration?

Recall, that because of the weakness of our institutions, INEC would not want PMB to waste his vote. Hence, I lauded Ararume for taking PMB to court and challenging his removal from a Public Limited Liability Company, arbitrarily.

Now that PMB has declared the elections as a legacy would the courts be bold enough to say otherwise?

I wonder what Professor Wole Soyinka would make of this?

  1. President Obama once said that African Nation problem is not poverty but weak institutions.
INEC and the Judiciary are weak and most times at the mercy of the executive.
