Femi Adesina and the Guardian

In my days in the Finance Industry, I used to marvel, each time, a staff of GT Bank stands to talk.

I believe it is down to their recruitment

policy and the founders of the bank.

I first came in contact with the Guardian Newspapers as a Youth Corper in Sokoto State.

Then I marvelled at the stories of Sunny Ojeagbase and Chris Okojie on the Sports pages.

I had to state all these as a reaction to the surprising claims by Femi Adesina who once had the giant opportunity to edit the Guardian.

As a little boy, my respect for journalists knew no bounds. As a little boy in Primary school, I used to read newspapers before going to school.

Those were the days of Allah Dey, Essbee, Toyin Makanju and the likes.

However, as I grew older, I got to know that journalists may be informing and educating, they were no angels.

I knew this from their NUJ squabbles during their elections.

Then, Ebenezer Babatope and other fire eaters descending into the murky waters of politics, left memouth agape.

When a man falls, two things come to mind, narrow is the road that leads to life, hence only Mandela commands respect among past african leaders and then secondly, every man has a price.

Demi Adesina is human. Working for APC is no mean job but Femi Adesina should remember his days in the Guardian.

Lawyers say, bend the Law do not break it.

How can Femi Adesina claim that PMB has diversified Nigerian Economy and moved Oil from 80% of Nigerian GDP to 10%?

Femi Adesina may have made an honest mistake but the challenge is for him to apologize while he has the opportunity.
