Why Katsina?

 Daura is in Katsina. PMB is from Daura. Umaru Musa YarA'dua was from Katsina.

under the 1999 Constitution from the same state.

Interestingly, there is a common thread: Integrity. One real and the other unreal but similar result.

Umaru Musa YarA'dua bucked the trend by making his asset declaration public.

It is not clear why Obj picked Umaru as a successor but the result was unmitigated disaster, too disastrous for words. 

Obj endorsed PMB, supposedly on the basis of integrity. The result today is unmistakable disaster.

I ask my self why?

Daura in Hausa legend had a prime position but the examples of two post 1999 Presidents from Katsina is not one the Queen of Daura will be proud of.

Umaru Musa YarA'dua tried his best but succumbed to ill health. Who can forget the warlike manner PMB attacked Boko Haram until ill health happened and like they say, the rest is history.

Katsina is but one of many in the North and Nigeria but I believe it's redemption will come maybe through Masari.

He was speaker and then Governor. Should he appear again on the National scene, I pray he does well to repair the dent on the image of Katsina in producing Presidents with question marks?

Question marks that do not bear documentation in the annals of our history. The cruelty of History is that when things happen, good or bad, they remain indelible. You may suffer amnesia selective or total but they remain indelible.
