Jagaban and his waterloo

BAT has had his day in the sun. He has won some and lost some.

Today, I believe he has boarded a night

bus headed no where.

There is a time for everyman to shine. He has had his shine.

This his battle may not be his last but I guess, he would wish, he never went into it.

As a man he has used his political sagacity to good effect.

This his present journey for those who may have forgotten started with helping Aminu Tambuwal to defy his Party PDP and their zoning arrangement to emerge as Speaker of the House of Representives. Unbeknown to many, a lady from Oyo State was the choice of PDP.

Why meddle in the affairs of PDP?

Jagaban worked against Nuhu Ribadu who was not only his friend but his Party's Presidential candidate in favour of GEJ.

What is happening today reminds me of 2015. In 2015, strange bedfellows came together not for GEJ but against him. Even his party's Chairman worked against him.

Today, APC is divided because of BAT. Different groups are arrayed in battle against him. Even his health is against him.

Is he optimistic? I doubt it, but he is giving it his all.

My take is that just like no firm can attract a rating above it's country's rating, Jagaban cannot defeat the broad spectrum of Nigerians including the government working against him.

In the North, there is the report that APC supporters are campaigning for PDP with APC vehicles. KAI!

  1. This is a dicey issue. The spirit is willing but the body is too weak to even comprehend the immediate surroundings. Some of the many gaffes are evidences of weak body and spirit. Unfortunately, either because of what one can not understand, his promoters also are lacking in confidence in assisting him change his gear lever from overdrive. The earlier he realised that things are not going in his favour especially healthwise, the better.
