I love BAT but I love Nigeria more
Nigeria is God's project. Anyone in doubt should go into History and find out how IBB ended up stepping aside or how Abacha ended his dictatorship.
Before the run-up to the 2023 Elections,
Nigerians had ended SARS in a spectacular fashion. For those who do not know, #EndSARS was a forerunner to the rejection of APC and PDP.
BAT had in the past shown political deftness. He fought Obj to a standstill as Governor of Lagos State.
When Obj led PDP in capturing the South West States, BAT was able to protect his hold on Lagos State.
He had for sometime been planning to be the king maker in the South West. In reaching out to PMB for an alliance that put PMB in office, he did it to get a foothold on the Presidency.
Man proposes but God disposes. In going into that alliance, BAT knew it was the turn of the South East but he was too focused on going one better than Awo and Abiola to care.
Now, he has some hurdles to clear. Professor Wole Soyinka has all but confirmed that BAT is suffering from Parkinson syndrome. In alluding to the ailment, Professor Soyinka made it clear that it may not stop him from performing well in office.
Lest I am misunderstood, I am Obidient. My love and respect for Nigeria is making me tell BAT to come clean and tell Nigerians if he has Parkinson and how he intends to manage it.
Not talking about it could damage BAT irredeemably. His gaffes are becoming too frequent to be overlooked.
God forbid that a political collosus like BAT is disgraced out of the Presidential race. The result would be most unthinkable.
Well said.
