Where is Amotekun?

With fanfare, Amotekun was launched. This was in spite of

perceived objections to its adoption.

Today, the very disease Amotekun was set up to Uproot is rearing its ugly head in the domain of the number one promoter of Amotekun: Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN.

First was the Owo Massacre. Now another kidnapping.

APC as a Party should be able to speak with one voice. A situation where a component part feels insecure to the point of thinking up a regional security outfit is discouraging.

I know Amotekun has limitations but the truth is that in spite of these obvious drawbacks, it was launched with fanfare.

It was more like putting the cart before the horse.

Hopes were raised. Those hopes have been dashed.

Did the promoters take the people for a ride?

I sometimes wonder what our leaders discuss when they meet?

They fail to solve the problems of the people but together they enjoy the goodies of our land.

Together they ride in private jets. Hold meetings in London. Organise lavish parties.

When it comes to solving the problems of the people like ASUU strike, inflation and insecurity, they are quiet.

What manner of leaders are they? They blow hot when they should blow cold and blow cold when they should blow hot.
