Lagos State and the romance with Touts..

My heart goes out to those who died and the injured of the Commercial Bus

that burnt at Iyana Oworo.

There is a saying that those who ride on the back of a Tiger will sooner or later, end up in the belly of the Tiger.

My experience of Elections in Lagos is that it is powered and controlled by violence.

One body that is up there with violence in their activities is the body of commercial drivers.

It is no surprise that BAT is hand in gloves with them. Even Lagos State have cleverly changed the name of the Union in Lagos just for political reasons.

I have no problem with whoever BAT chooses to associate with in his private capacity but as a politician, I should care.

Commercial Drivers in Lagos are lawless. They overload their vehicles and the Government looks the other way.

I am familiar with the Iyana Oworo sector. I see buses that Drivers have to leave their seats to come and open for their passengers and I ask myself what happens in the case of an emergency?

These things happen and who will talk? The Unions are hand in gloves with the Government and who will check them?

For the lives lost, may their Souls Rest in Peace. Amen.
