How did we get here? Petrol went down from $28 to $37!

That Nigeria has cultural diversity is well known. That the North has disdain

for western Education is not just the belief of Boko Haram.

Pat Utomi once talked about a culture of,  'Ko mean'. This is prevalent in Yorubaland and it means, it does not mean.

This slang is used when people want to circumvent norms. Ko mean, also plagues the Northerner even more.

The manifestation of that is in the litany of errors in official communications these days at the Federal level.

Sample the headline about price falling from $28 to $37? Then consider a Federal Minister, saying that Creditors and not Debtors are owing Nigeria.

What really motivated this article is the expose by Daily Trust Newspaper that the Oil Production and Price figures for the period 1999  to 2015 that PMB had been feeding the public were wrong.

But how did we get here? You can lie with statistics but not with raw data. Facts are supposed to be sacred.

Integrity has not gone out of fashion.
