Dear Nigerian Governors

 

I am surprised to read that in spite of  35% growth in Internally Generated

Revenue, you are collectively brainstorming on how to raise more revenue.

Ordinarily, I ought not be surprised since our national debt is growing astronomically. But these are not ordinary times.

Between the National debt and stolen funds and crude Oil, I am not sure which is growing faster.

Ordinarily, I expect you to wonder why so many Nigerians are losing faith in Nigeria but no, I guess, you are more concerned with when it will be your turn to take a shot at the Presidency as if that is all there is to governance. No track record. No worthy legacy.

I am sorry to disappoint you. Peter Obi is making waves not because it is his turn but because of his track record.

You have the opportunity now. Make the best of it and you too will make waves.
