BAT and his baggages

At the inception of APC, Shetima, the current running mate to BAT was one

of those who openly challenged BAT for his undisguised leadership role in the new Party.

Shettima's grouse was that like BAT, he was a two term Governor, so what makes BAT feel, he should lead?

At that time, BAT made no comment. If Shetima later sheathed his sword, I may not know.

However, today, the same Shetima is BAT's running mate.

Recall that Atiku failed to make Wike, his closest rival for the PDP ticket his running mate. For that decision, peace has deserted PDP.

BAT may have picked Shettima to keep him under close watch.

My concern is not BAT but a Shettima Presidency. If the article is titled BAT and his baggages, why is BAT not my concern but Shettima?

My concern for Shettima is that he is too neck deep in terrorism to be trusted with power.

The Chibok girls and Bala Sokoto are enough to rattle any patriot.

Back to BAT. Recall that, BAT has a drug related indictment in the US. His affair with Alpha Beta is yet to be resolved, both legally and morally.

The issue of his certificates is up in the air.

Any of the aforementioned, may well put paid to his dreams.

I doubt if Shettima is unaware. The question is who stands to benefit?

Why pick an unfit horse for an important race if the handlers are not guilty of match fixing?
