Shame on Governors' Forum

Since the days of Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, we have not had a

strong Governors' forum.

The present set of Governors are so spineless, their colleagues from Imo, Abia, Ondo, Lagos, Akwa Ibom, Edo, Delta, Rivers and Bayelsa States are like desperate and hungry individuals allegedly paying a bribe of N15bn to the suspended Accountant General of the Federation to fast track payment of 13% derivation funds to them.

That act raises two issues.

How to account for the N15bn?

The second issue is the impotence or desperation of the Governors.

That amount translates to N1.5bn per state. Who do the Governors account to? Nobody. Money down the drain.

The Governors are supposed to be repositories of power and guardians of the mandate of the people but how wrong they are.

An individual holds nine Governors to ransom. No fallback position. I wonder if this perfidy could have happened under Obj?

The Governors if the allegation is true must be criminals. Governors nominate Ministers and the Accountant General is supposed to be under a Minister, so how come the Governors were helpless?

I find it funny that Southern Governors are begging a civil servant from the North for their allocation.

Something, just isn't adding up!
