Pat Utomi and the 40 Million Votes

Pat Utomi has managed to keep his integrity intact in the murky waters of

Nigerian Politics.

I am concerned about his involvement in the 40 Million Votes project.

On paper, the project like Patito's gang is avant garde. But a closer look at the structure of the project, will raise red flags.

On TV l saw Pat Utomi presented as Chairman of the project. Typical of Pat Utomi, not shying away from leadership.

Then, a fellow appears explaining that the project predated Obi. As if that was not enough, intelligent as Pat Utomi is, I saw him struggle with the correct name of the project.

You may wonder what the red flags are?

In the first instance, it is about money and I doubt if the Peter Obi movement as currently playing out needs it. They need money but for the money to work, they need a defined structure.

In the absence of a structure, any money raised could easily get into wrong hands.

Each State chapter should handle it's fund raising.

The 40 Million Votes project needs a lot of care. I know  Pat Utomi to be knowledgeable but how street smart he is, I do not know.

He is Chairman of a project he apparently knows little or nothing about in the Nigerian environment, with our high level of corruption and very few known names above board.

My advice to the Professor of development Economics is to be about his wits and not allow Political hawks highjack the project, tarnish his name and give the Obidient movement a mortal blow.
