Blame not Peter Obi's supporters

Each time, I read about a negative behaviour from Peter Obi's supporters, I wince.

Peter Obi is not a typical politician. He

is quite gentle.

A man was once asked to pick between two female musicians. He asked the interviewer who wanted him to say who was more beautiful of the two musicians if he did not realize that one of the musicians was beautiful.

That answer was interesting. The import is that the other musician was not beautiful.

If Peter Obi's supporters are rude or aggressive, please bear with them. Between Atiku and BAT, who has a track record to bring Nigeria from darkness to light?

Both Atiku and BAT are birds of the same feather who cannot be separated from all that is bad with Nigeria.

Peter Obi offers hope. No man is an Angel and he isn't one. No one is totally clean and he isn't totally clean.

But Nigeria's current situation, certainly needs a man with Peter Obi's antecedents not Atiku's. Not BAT's.

When Peter Obi's supporters think of the current Nigerian situation, how we got here and how Atiku and BAT contributed to the current situation, they feel frustrated to see anyone root for them.

They see any attempt to promote Atiku and BAT as a disservice to logic and an attempt to foist bad leadership on Nigeria.

Things are so bad that it is difficult to understand why those who put PMB in office would feel entitled to succeed him. Nor those whose record of graft is nauseating wanting to be in the saddle.

What Peter Obi's supporters are saying is that indeed Peter Obi has the track record required now, to repair Nigeria.

If the others were unknown, supporting them could be understandable. But BAT and Atiku are one and the same in selfish aggrandizement.

It is the nature of man that when comfort comes, he lets down his guard.

Supporters of Atiku and BAT should know that this is no time to let down one's guard. These times call for prudence not profligacy.
