Nigeria and the Drumbeats of war

It was Bob Marley that titled one of his songs, WAR. In Nigeria today, it is

Drumbeats of war.

So why the War cries? PMB laboured tirelessly to be President. Today, he cannot wait to leave.

But why did he want to be President? Unlike Lee kuan Yew, he did not want to take Nigeria from third world to first world.

He wanted to help his people. What a descent? From Olympio to Idanre Hills?

For someone who risked his life to rescue Nigeria from a corrupt civilian regime, to descend to the level of just wanting to help my people and BAT in his blind ambition chose to help him.

Please what will the planners of war in Nigeria achieve? Forcible marriages? Back to stone age? No freedom of worship?

Instead of Jerusalem, it is to Mecca. How does that alleviate our suffering?

My friend is an Okada rider. Now I hear he sells fruits.

I helped him to learn how to read. Occasionally, he works as a security man.

How does war help him? Nigerian politicians are so far, a monumental disappointment.

What better illustration than the humiliation of Ekweremadu and his wife?

The response of the Political class is , it is my turn to be President and I have the right of offer of first refusal.

Meanwhile, we desire and believe that we ought to be taken seriously in the comity of nations.

How can?
