Senator Stella Oduah and her missing NYSC Certificate


 

Distinguished Senator Stella Oduah has given NYSC 48 hours to withdraw the

letter they wrote claiming that she absconded from NYSC in 1982/83.

Indeed many things happen in NYSC but this piece will concentrate on the issue at hand.

The Senator had claimed that her Certificate was missing and NYSC have responded that she never qualified for one and so the missing certificate was a forged one.

Not satisfied, the Senator says she did not abscond as claimed by NYSC but Indeed served with NECA and she has a 2017 letter to back it up.

Interestingly, I did my service in 1982/83 like the Senator but I did not serve in Lagos but Sokoto State and Mrs C I Omokri was my Chief Inspector.

If Stella Oduah has a valid certificate, she should have copies to present. NECA was her place of primary assignment, NYSC ought to have that record.

NECA could make matters easy by presenting the letter of Posting they received from NYSC.

I sympathize with the distinguished Senator but her case looks shaky.
