When are we retracing our steps?
Karl Marx in 1845, wrote ' Philosophers have merely interpreted
the world in various ways, the point is to change it.'Knowing a problem is believed to be halfway through the Solution.
African societies are today very corrupt. Corrupt african leaders collaborated with conscienceless Slave traders to sell africans.
Today colonialism has done a seeming indelible number on us and I ask if we can ever terrace our steps.
Most african societies were ruled in various forms but none, I dare say reeks with as much corruption as we experience today.
My take is that like the man who is a Chef in an hotel or Government house and yet believes that cooking is a woman's thing and for that reason, never cooks at home, when today's africans steal from Government, they believe, they are fighting a foreign Government and not an indegenous contraption.
African societies had thieves and criminals but they were never overwhelmed.
Today, criminals with cash are celebrated even where they have stolen from Government. This is unthinkable in african societies.
The challenge is how do we return to status quo ante? Has paradise in this case been lost?
