The latest crime in town

As crimes go, the latest crime in town as far as publications go is not

plagiarism. Where people would ordinarily, steal other people's idea, these days the reverse is the case.

I recall my University days. My roommate, told me of an offer made to his younger brother studying Law. The young man had written a Novel and a publisher suggested he agreed to a plan to get the book published in the name of a known writer and my roommate's brother refused

His reason was that , he wanted to make a name for himself in view of the fact that he was studying Law.

Today all manner of libelous materials are flying about in the name of a known figure or the other.

Such publications smack of desperation and a response to repression.

The question to ask is if such publications have any value? Yes, they do but they are damaging to the people under whose names they appear.

The Yorubas have a saying that when a person says this information is for your ears only, it is another form of falsehood. While , I do not totally agree, I wonder why one would willingly share a secret?

I sympathize with the Cable. An article was said to have been authored by them and they are saying, no way.

People love winners but please do not damage them.

Sahara reporters are known for all kinds of materials, I won't be surprised if they are targeted but what can be bolder than what they offer?
