Stop this Ekiti Pastor now!
I am not a Marxist but I find myself
quoting Karl Marx, twice in succession. In 1843, Karl Marx wrote that, religion is the Opium of the people.I am a religious person. But I do not subscribe to recklessness in religion. Time there were in the past when many people did reckless things in the name of religion.
I am a Christian. Jesus Christ was not reckless. Recall the antics of Jesus of Oyingbo in Lagos and how he ended.
Recall also the story of the American who poisoned his followers in the name of rapture.
The latest is the Ekiti Pastor that is reported to be charging his members N310,000 to fly them to Heaven.
The Police should step into the matter to avoid mass suicide. Freedom in a Democratic society has its limits.
Suicide remains a crime and if the story is true, what the Pastor is planning cannot be less than a crime.
Government exists for the people. The Government of Ekiti State should keep a close eye on the camp at Omuo Ekiti to avoid stories that touch the Heart.
Hummmmmm!
ReplyDeleteAt best, this is a Ponzi scheme.
