PMB and Deja Vu

Alex Ekwueme of the South East was Vice President when PMB toppled

Shagari's Government.

What followed was a prolonged Military Rule of Northerners culminating in Electing Obj of the South West as President to compensate for the death in detention of Abiola.

Today, it is the turn of the South East and PMB is acting ignorant of this fact.

I am not bothered about PMB'S apparent indecision in choosing a successor.

Rather I am concerned about the conditions precedent to a peaceful handover.

PMB it was who told us that we have no other country but Nigeria.

PMB as a serving Military patriot worsted Maitatsine.

Today, PMB appears more clueless than his predecessors in tackling the problems of insurgency.

Could it be, I ask myself a ploy to deny the Igbos of their mandate?

I have stated previously that my only interest in Igbo Presidency is nation building.

I believe allowing the Igbos to give Nigeria a President will forever banish the ghost of Marginalization.

I am Igbo but not from the South East.

  1. It doesn't matter which region is ruling. We need competent leader. A leader who love all and care equally. A president who have the fear of God.
