Afe Babalola's Interim contraption

Legal Luminary and University proprietor, Afe Babalola says 2023

Elections should not hold. He wants an interim Government for 6 months.

At 92, I sympathize with the Ekiti State born legal icon. If you recall, Wole Soyinka had sometime ago described his generation as a wasted generation.

In your old age you cannot but have regrets when you see things in your country going the way things are in Nigeria.

My problem with the interim contraption is that it is not based on our Laws. Afe should know.

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw the Interim suggestion is Obj.

Afe Babalola is Obj's Lawyer. When I now saw the suggestion that the Interim Government should have past Heads of State as members, my suspicions were confirmed as the Voice of Afe Babalola and the hand of Obj.

Obj is very smart. If he suggested it, he may find it difficult to suggest himself as a member. So what to do?

It is what you are hearing about. It has to be about Obj. He had two chances and he blew them both.

He wants a third chance at 85. In the voice of Falz the Bhad Guy: Well Done Sir!

  2. We have the generation of over zealous and ever hungry rulers, any way, he is entitled to his opinion, which cannot be imposed on us, Obj may not be alone, Adeboye has earlier told us that 2023 election may not hold, perhaps we are seeing the hand writing on the walls, insecurity and continuous bandit menace all over the
nation.who will save us from this mess, if the interim contraption will be the only remedy, so be it, but Shonekuns style did not solve any problem then, who is thinking of setting up another.

  3. I just want to plead that Nigerians should stop listening to all these old men that are fast growing senile. These were the same set of people who put Nigeria at the crossroads it currently is and rather than keep their mouths shut permanently, they still wish to pretend as they are never part of the rot Nigeria has become. How can a lawyer be suggesting something very illegal and which by and large will create more problems than solve any. Senility at work no doubt.

    1. Sir..... Maybe it shouldn't be coming from him being a lawyer and someone who ought to be professional, but there's iota of truth in his point. This is looking like the days of SDP/NRC, which ended Abiola political ambition. Payback time is fast approaching for some politicians. It goes beyond what we are seeing now. Watch out!
