Whether BAT runs or not, 2023 Elections is already about him.
Whether BAT runs or not, no candidate has attracted as much comments as he
has. From NADECO to Lagos House. Two terms and the Certified Public Accountant, has amassed as much power as to become a political kingpin well beyond the borders of Lagos State.
He first started by displacing all those responsible for his emergence as Party Candidate and then moved on to sending his Chief of Staff Lai Mohammed to contest the Governorship of Kwara State and Aregbesola, his commissioner for works to contest for Governor in Osun State.
Where Lai Mohammed failed, Aregbesola succeeded. More or less, his strategy is to move from Lagos State to the whole of South West and even Edo State.
Remember, LKJ was a major financier of Unity Party of Nigeria. That may not have been lost on Jagaban. Remember, the Vice President was his commissioner for Justice.
Like him or hate him, he is a political juggernaut.
His albatross is his strength. He loves to amass wealth as a means of political penetration. But he is no Abiola, Dangote or Otedola.
Therein is his waterloo. Nigeria is notorious for corruption but even the most corrupt, sees it as a challenge that must be overcome.
For someone with such a baggage to nurse Presidential ambition is to see Nigerians as fools.
God forbid.
Indeed God forbid!
ReplyDeleteCuriously though, BAT as he is called has proven record of performance in a country riddled with corruption and so much ethnicity.
I am torn between his public record as Governor o Lagos State and his bullion van wealth amassing tendency.
In a sane country this man, a former drug pusher, drug addict ex-convict, notorious exploiter without iota of decorum in using public institutions to appropriate private personal aggrandizement, properties, wealth etc he has his hand in Lagos revenue pie, the daughter is Iya loja, the wife
a Senator and he collects revenue on behalf LSGGVT and replicate this even at federal level collect 3.5% on vat through his Renate company.
Look I am truly lost, thorn between good and evil.
Choose good
DeleteSo sad a development. God forbid
