Much ado about the declaration of bandits as terrorists

Less than two years to the exit of PMB, a lot is being made about the

declaration of bandits as terrorists.

Lest we forget, Governor Nasir El Rufai told the world about the coming of the bandits into Nigeria.

They were to fight GEJ, but with the capitulation of GEJ, they were given money to return to where they came from but they refused.

Today, much is being made of their being declared as terrorists.

If since 2015, nothing was achieved in taming them, then expecting much from a retreating PMB is like looking for hot coal in the land of Eskimos.

PMB is not and can not be in the mood for a fight he could not win in 6 years.

Those who are making a mountain of the mole hill can go on deceiving themselves.

Yorubas have a saying that when it comes to identifying a lie, both parties cannot get it wrong together. If the person being lied to does not know, the person lying certainly knows he or she is lying.

So it is in this case. If we Nigerians miss the lie for what it is, the persons peddling it certainly know what they are doing.

For all you know the declaration may be a ploy to vote more money for the fight since the risk is now higher.

In the end money could be an excuse for failure or it could add to campaign funds with a sizeable amount going into propaganda.

All we want is an end to banditry. It is sad that PMB came into office to fight for his people but today, his military background counts for next to nothing in protecting Nigerians especially his people.

He comes from North West which is the base of the bandits. So much for his avowed Love for his people.
